KXWR Warrior Radio is proud to partner with the Tsaile Learning Center to help keep the Navajo language strong and heard every day. Through this partnership, KXWR will broadcast the Diné Bizaad Word of the Day for listeners across the Diné College community and beyond.
The Navajo Language Tutor from the Tsaile Learning Center will present a new Navajo word, its meaning, and pronunciation. The Diné Bizaad Word of the Day will play twice every hour on KXWR Warrior Radio, giving listeners many chances to hear and learn the word throughout the day.
This project supports language learning and cultural connection. Navajo, also known as Diné Bizaad, is an important part of Navajo identity, history, and daily life. Hearing the language on the radio helps normalize its use and encourages listeners of all ages to learn and practice Navajo words.
KXWR Warrior Radio serves as a community radio station for Diné College and the Navajo Nation. By sharing Navajo language resources on the air, the station helps promote Native American education, cultural preservation, and lifelong learning. The Navajo Word of the Day is designed to be short, clear, and easy to follow, making it a great learning tool for beginners and fluent speakers alike.
The Tsaile Learning Center plays a key role in supporting students through tutoring, academic success coaching, and cultural education. Partnering with KXWR allows the Learning Center to reach a wider audience and support Navajo language learning outside the classroom.
Listeners looking for Navajo resources, Native American language programs, or Diné Bizaad learning tools can tune in to KXWR Warrior Radio to hear the Word of the Day throughout the hour. This partnership is another step toward keeping the Navajo language alive, spoken, and celebrated every day.
